On Sunday, July 10, we travelled from Harpenden to Lockerbie, Scotland via train. Our friend James collected us from the station and took us to his home in Rockcliffe, on the southern coast. The drive took about an hour so we got to see quite a bit of the landscape. We had a lovely stay with James and his wife Silke.
During our stay in Rockcliffe we swam and kayaked in the Solway Firth, we walked the Coastal Path from Sandyhills to Rockcliffe — and saw caves, rocks and memorials to shipwrecks along the way. We also skipped lots of stones, we ate ice cream and ice lollies at Mr. Whippy’s, we watched Enola Holmes, the three boys played golf (while Beth remote worked!), we saw the 2021 winner of the UK tree of the year, we played pool at the Steamboat Inn, and we visited the birthplace of John Paul Jones (he was Scottish, handsome, and absolutely insane.) We had so much fun. Thank you James and Silke!

Scotland is such a great country. Robert the Bruce and John Paul Jones in the same trip. Lots of sea and sand, rocks and hills. Will you be going to Sterling and Edinburgh, they are fun trips. That jellyfish looks like something in a volcano. Keep having fun and sending pics.
